Mr David’s Message

Time for our July Newsletter – bringing good news and some less good news –

Good news             – Our Summer Holiday Children’s Scheme begins on Monday July 28th..

Not so good news    – Goodbye to many of our little people we have so enjoyed looking after and teaching….

We will say goodbye to over 20 children who ‘graduate’ from Training Depot, taking their first steps into Reception Classes at their new schools. You will be much missed and we have so much enjoyed having you here with us and teaching you some of your very first lessons.

We were delighted lots of our children as well as many parents were able to join us on our Away day Trip to Woburn Safari Park, last week. A day of glorious weather was enjoyed, a super coach drive through the animal enclosures (lions/tigers and monkeys – very popular) finishing with a picnic, then watching the Sea Lions Show. Thank you to everyone who made this such fun. Photographs will soon be available in our Snapfish Albums, online.

Looking ahead to the period over the maintained schools holidays (6 weeks) you will all know – We always do stay open right through the holidays!

A special programme of summer events will start in the week beginning, July 22nd. Details are available at the Office, please enquire. This will be provided to all fee paying children – BUT ALSO – to any of our children who attend under the National Education Grant (The Free 15 hours) – who can also choose to join our summer programme though there is a small fee payable – this cost depends upon the periods of nursery time requested for your child. No registration fee is payable – only one fee for any chosen session.

Finally, Training Depot Day Nursery will be having an Open Day on Wednesday 20th August.

Please, mention this to anyone you know who is presently choosing a nursery for the next Nursery Year and who might like to look around – if you would like to bring them –even better! We do have some places left, and will be able to offer more places than last year following the building of our baby room extension.

Every good wish to those leaving – we do hope you have all enjoyed your time with us, and we look forward to having those staying with us, back soon – either during the Summer Sessions or at the beginning of term on Monday September 1st 2014.

If you wish to be certain your child will have a place with Training Depot for the Autumn Term, please make arrangements at the Office with either Miss Michelle or Miss Fiona!

With every good wish to those leaving us, to them and those who will return – Have a simply great Summer Break

The children have some outings and activities planned for July and August.  One being a visit to the Polish shop.

The children will be having a trip to the shops to buy blank white t-shirts which they will be painting and designing their own t-shirts.  There are many more activites planned, please speak to the staff for more information.
