Mr David’s Message…

A BIG thank you to every parent and carer who recently helped by completing our questionnaires – we greatly welcome your comments. Last month we asked about your experiences when attending our Parents Evening Consultations, as well as those parents with children who have begun their learning journey with us since September. Your comments and views are truly important – without receiving this help we are much less able to improve in those areas we all choose as important. Thank you. We are currently running two speech programmes to assist our children with their learning. ‘Lift off to Language’ and very recently ‘Signing for Twos’ – to help children express their emotions. We were delighted so many parents accepted our invitation to join together on the launch of these Signing sessions in Cubs. Please continue this method at home – you will be simply amazed how quickly your children, with your help, will build confidence when expressing themselves. There will be further opportunities for both parents and children in Nursery. We look forward to many parents joining us over the coming month as we prepare all Christmas festivities ahead of the accompanying holidays. One special visit our children will make will be to St Anne’s Old People’s Home attending the Christmas party for the elderly, taking cakes and chocolate gifts and Christmas songs to be sung.  In sending all of you celebrating Christmas and New Year every good wish, I am pleased to remind those who have a longer holiday – We are open again on Monday January 5th 2015 – Mr David

A Reminder…

  •  Please do not bring into Nursery toys from home, money or jewellery.
  •  Please help us by naming your child’s coat, outdoor and indoor shoes, hats, jumpers and cardigans.  This will prevent confusion and items being put on the wrong child’s peg.  We have some children with the same first name so please put the initial of your child’s surname.
  •  Ensure you check and empty your child’s folder regularly, they contain letters for you and your child’s work which they would like to take home and share with you.
  • In the Cubs Room please bring in a sleeping bag or blanket for your child, if they are attending all day and will be having a rest / sleep time at nursery.
  • All children need a named apron for use during art & craft activities.  These can be purchased from Nursery at a cost of £3.00.
  • Parents, please check the nappy / wipe board in the hallway and when your child’s name appears, please bring in new supplies.

Thank you
